The eye pieces are made of a thick vegetable tanned leather bolted to a rounded front. The outer edge is lined with a supple leather for added comfort. Each eye piece has a switch that turns on the light, which illuminates the vacuum tube! The battery and wiring are concealed inside the eyepiece. The shaded lenses work just like sunglasses, shading the sunlight while not being too dark to see through.

They run on two CR2032 batteries, one for each side. The batteries are in an enclosure that requires a screwdriver to remove in order to replace the battery. The battery cannot be removed without first removing the housing.

The lenses are custom cut shaded acrylic.

The left eyepiece has a chrome eye loupe attached that adds a working magnification. The eye loupe may have either 2 or 3 lenses depending on availability.

The leather has been dyed a dark brown color with brown stitching, Red LED lit tubes, and dark lenses. Other color variations are available if you contact me first.

You are purchasing a Made To Order, Powered Steampunk Gauntlet. The straps are re-sizable, allowing the gauntlet to be warn either on a bare arm, or over a sleeve, or even a jacket.

The lights are controlled by two switches that control 4 LEDS powered dual 9 volt batteries. The two batteries are enclosed in the leather case under the switches. To replace the batteries, two cap nuts need to be removed with a small wrench and the housing disconnected from the gauntlet. Both batteries can then be replaced.

The Gauntlet is connected to the Bracer by two button posts. This allows you to remove the gauntlet without having to remove the bracer, as needed.
